The "Star Litter" Diaries; Part 4
4th Week; monday december 13th 2004 Last week we started with the feeding schedule for Taro, but since we both have to got to work full time, we were faced with a problem: how are we going to manage a feeding schedule of feedings every two hours, when we have to go to work?!! Our good neighbours Cees and Carla became our saviours!!! During the evening and the night Edwin and I are taking turns and during the day our guardian angels Cees and Carla are taking care of Taro’s feeding schedule and keeping an eye on our sick teddy bear. We are so lucky to have neighbours as these two!!! Taro is doing very good at this moment and bit-by-bit we can decrease the feeding frequency. Now, at the end of the fourth week the frequency is every four and a half hour. We have started to mix rice flour thru the KMR milk and supplement this porridge with some Nutrigel or canned meat (Hills AD). We noticed that Taro is developing at a lot slower pace as we are used to. He is still not walking steady (specially his hind legs seem to lack strength and control), doesn’t show any interest in the litter box and only eats that what has been put right into his mouth. He is very lively and playful, so we do not suspect illness, just slowness in development, probably caused by the lack of brothers and sisters… Below you can find the weights of our fourth week:
